PAD THAI AMSTERDAM

PAD THAI AMSTERDAM

Pad thai is one of the most recognizable dishes in Thai cuisine, and one of the most misrepresented. Siam Bowl makes it the way it’s done in Bangkok: stir-fried rice noodles, tamarind sauce, peanuts, high heat.

WHAT IS PAD THAI?

Pad thai is a stir-fried noodle dish that became a staple of Thai street food culture. Thin rice noodles, cooked at high temperature in a wok, seasoned with tamarind, fish sauce and a small amount of sugar. The result is lightly sweet, tangy and savoury at the same time. Topped with crushed peanuts and served with fresh lime, it’s one of the most balanced dishes in Southeast Asian cooking.
